Copyright & Licensing Policy

Samvakti Journals is committed to ensuring transparent and fair copyright practices that protect the rights of authors while supporting broad dissemination of scholarly work. This policy applies to all journals published by Samvakti Pvt. Ltd.

1. Copyright Ownership

Authors retain the copyright of their submitted and published manuscripts.
Upon acceptance, authors grant Samvakti Journals a non-exclusive right to:

  • Publish the article in print and online formats
  • Distribute, index, and archive the article
  • Promote the work through academic platforms and databases

The authors continue to own all intellectual property rights to their work.

2. Licensing Terms

Articles published under the Open Access model are made available under an open-access license that permits use and sharing in accordance with the applicable licensing terms, while ensuring appropriate attribution.

Articles published under the Paid Access model are subject to the access and licensing terms agreed upon at the time of publication. Their abstracts and keywords remain publicly accessible, while access to the full text may be restricted.

The standard license applied is:
Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0)
unless otherwise stated.

Under this license, readers may:

  • Read, share, and download the article
  • Use the article for non-commercial purposes
  • Cite the article appropriately

Readers may not:

  • Modify, transform, or build upon the material
  • Use the article for commercial purposes
  • Reproduce figures, tables, or images without permission

Authors may request a different Creative Commons license if required by funding agencies or institutional mandates.

3. Author Rights
Authors retain copyright ownership of their original work. The exercise of publication, distribution, and sharing rights is subject to the applicable licensing terms and publication agreements.

3.1 Rights Before Publication
Authors may use their unpublished manuscripts for legitimate research, academic, and administrative purposes.
Public posting or distribution of submitted or accepted manuscripts before formal publication requires prior written approval from the Editorial Office, in accordance with the terms agreed upon during submission.

3.2 Rights After Publication — Open Access
Authors of Open Access publications may:

  • Reuse their published articles for educational or research purposes.
  • Deposit the final published PDF in institutional or subject repositories.
  • Include their published articles in theses or dissertations.
  • Share the final published PDF on personal or academic websites.
  • Reuse their published articles in future books or compilations, subject to the applicable Creative Commons Licence.

All such uses must comply with the applicable licence and provide appropriate attribution.

3.3 Rights After Publication — Paid Access
Authors of Paid Access publications may:

  • Reuse their work for personal research, teaching, and other purposes permitted under the publication agreement.
  • Include appropriate portions of their published work in theses, dissertations, or subsequent publications, subject to applicable licensing terms.
  • Share the article title, abstract, keywords, DOI, and official publication link.

Public distribution, repository deposit, or posting of the final published PDF requires permission where stipulated in the applicable publication agreement.

3.4 General Conditions
All sharing and reuse must comply with applicable copyright, licensing, third-party permissions, and publication agreements. Authors must appropriately acknowledge Samvakti Journals as the original publisher.
Nothing in this section overrides rights already granted under an applicable Creative Commons licence or an existing publication agreement.

4. Publisher Rights

Samvakti Journals maintains the right to:

  • Archive the article permanently
  • Include the article in indexing services, databases, and repositories
  • Reproduce the article
  • Enforce licensing terms when unauthorized use is detected

These rights help ensure consistent access and long-term preservation of the scholarly record.

5. Permissions for Third-Party Material

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce:

  • Previously published figures or images
  • Large portions of copyrighted text
  • Tables, charts, or datasets owned by third parties

Authors must submit proof of permissions during the review process.
Samvakti Journals is not responsible for copyright violations arising from unauthorized reuse by the authors.

6. Use of Published Content

Readers may use published articles for:

  • Academic research
  • Teaching materials
  • Non-commercial dissemination
  • Citation and scholarly discussion

Commercial reuse, derivative works, or modifications require written permission from both the authors and Samvakti Journals.

7. Posting and Sharing Policy

7.1 Unpublished Manuscripts
Authors must not publicly distribute or post manuscripts submitted to or accepted by Samvakti Journals before formal publication without prior written approval from the Editorial Office.
This restriction applies to both Open Access and Paid Access submissions and is intended to protect the confidentiality and integrity of the editorial and peer-review process.
Private sharing with co-authors, supervisors, institutional ethics committees, and other authorized parties for legitimate research or administrative purposes is permitted, subject to applicable confidentiality requirements.

7.2 Open Access Publications
Following formal publication, authors may freely share the final published article or PDF in accordance with the applicable Creative Commons licence, provided proper attribution is given to the authors and Samvakti Journals.

7.3 Paid Access Publications
Following formal publication, authors may share the article's title, abstract, keywords, DOI, and link to the official publication.
Public distribution or posting of the full published PDF is subject to the applicable publication agreement and licensing terms.

7.4 General Conditions
Authors must comply with applicable copyright, licensing, third-party permissions, and publication agreements when sharing their work.

8. Licensing Changes

If an author’s institution or funding agency mandates a specific open-access license, authors may request an alternative Creative Commons license prior to publication.
Any change must be approved before the article is formally published.
