I am Yanushi Madhuwanthi Gunasekara, a postgraduate student and emerging researcher from Sri Lanka, holding a First Class Honours degree in Finance from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. I am currently pursuing a Master of Philosophy in Business Economics at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Master of Science in Environmental Science at the Open University of Sri Lanka. My research interests focus on environmental economics, climate-related natural disasters, ecosystem degradation, agricultural sustainability, and economic resilience. As a postgraduate student, I am particularly interested in interdisciplinary research that integrates economic and environmental perspectives to examine the socioeconomic and ecological consequences of natural disasters. I aim to contribute empirical evidence that supports sustainable agricultural development, ecosystem conservation, and climate-resilient economic policies, particularly in Asian developing economies.
