Anshul Chhabra has over 25 years of professional experience in military engineering, technology management, armoured vehicle systems, logistics and indigenous defence capability development. He holds a Ph.D. and an M.Tech in Automobile Engineering, specialising in weapons and land systems. His professional experience includes instructional assignments at the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Girinagar, and a significant tenure with the Directorate of Indigenisation, contributing to initiatives aimed at strengthening India's indigenous defence technology ecosystem.

His academic and professional interests encompass Artificial Intelligence, emerging technologies, digital transformation and their implications for national security and organisational decision-making. He is particularly interested in the governance of AI systems, data privacy, responsible technology adoption and the challenges of balancing technological innovation with security, accountability and individual privacy. Through an interdisciplinary approach combining technical education and practical defence experience, he seeks to examine the relevance of concepts such as privacy budgeting in developing secure, trustworthy and responsible AI applications, particularly in sensitive and mission-critical environments.
